Supervision by Julie Bithell

I currently offer supervision to qualified counsellors, counsellors in training, play therapists and other alternative health professionals. My work encompasses a holistic approach, and as such I encourage you to bring the ‘whole’ of you to supervision. I work using mainly the Person Centred Approach, and promote the core conditions in a safe, supportive environment.

I also work offering supportive challenge, to enable you to reflect in depth on issues affecting your professional and private life. My aim is to promote your control over your professional practice, whilst respecting your ability and responsibility to make decisions and changes in your work in light of your own beliefs and values.

Together in supervision we aim to create and monitor a working alliance in which you are supported and encouraged to personally and professionally develop your practice and gain confidence and professional competence so as to give the best possible service in your work.

As an individual member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), I am bound by its ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy and subject to its professional conduct procedure.

Supervision sessions are one and a half hours per month in line with BACP ethical practice. The fee is £70 per session for qualified counsellors and £55 for students. Please feel free to contact me should you require further details or wish to make an appointment.
